An extraordinary day for Team corratec – Vini Fantini, with Kyrylo Tsarenko narrowly missing victory in the 4th stage of the Tour de Slovaquie and taking the lead in the Mountain Classification.
This fourth stage, which took the riders from Partizánske to Ružomberok over a 183.5 km course filled with numerous climbs, saw Kyrylo Tsarenko attack on the first second-category climb of the day alongside a small group of riders. Through this effort, Tsarenko accumulated enough points to don the polka dot jersey as the leader of the Mountain Classification and secured an excellent 2nd place finish, just behind stage winner Johannes Adamietz.
