Aitor Hernández, ISB Sport ambassador, has concluded the 2022-23 cyclo-cross season with a more than remarkable background, having added 6 victories and a total of 14 podiums, thus maintaining his dominance in the Basque calendar, ratified with the general classification of the Challenge of the Basque Cycling Federation. With those of this winter, Aitor Hernández already has 131 victories throughout his sports career.
The season, which began in October in Gijón and concluded at the end of January in Bera, has had a tone of absolute regularity. With at least one win in each month of competition, Aitor Hernández has been at the front of the front in each race throughout the four months of the season, including the top-10 in the four international races contested.
Statements by Aitor Hernández: “It has been a very good season for me, better than the previous two. I’ve managed to be fighting to win all season, I’ve got quite a few wins and podiums and I’ve felt very good and fresh at all times. Every year there is more competition and it is more difficult to be at the top, so I can only be satisfied with how things have turned out. Continuing to win gives me extra motivation and confidence and makes me really want to keep competing and keep enjoying myself.”
